Chicago-based Producer & DJ, Michael Stumpf, also known as Faithful

Raver since 2011, first exposed to rave culture in NYC while living in Providence, RI. Venus X's GHE20G0TH1K parties were crucial beginning points for me as well as raves happening around that time at 285 Kent (RIP). Meeting Chicago footwork legends in the Teklife/Ghettoteknitianz crew & experiencing their sonic tapestries on soundsystems was beyond formative for me in learning what was possible as far as the interplay of dance & producing for a dancefloor. Witnessing a set from legend DJ Deeon properly was the height of that era for me. I knew I wanted to move back to the Midwest and went right to Chicago by 2013 [I am from Milwaukee originally but always had family in the Chicago area growing up].

Since that time I have been fortunate enough to participate in multiple realms of the local DIY and rave scenes here, which I hold dear & wish to uphold to this day. Forging creative collective autonomy is paramount to me. Connecting with fellow peers has been magnificent: with a beginner's mind we can learn from each other for perpetuity & reap the fruits of our engagements.
